Fabrice Muamba Marries 7months after his Near Death Experience

It was a wedding that almost did not take place after 24-year-old football star Fabrice Muamba  was thought to be 'dead' on the pitch in March.

Muamba had a heart attack and collapsed during the quarter-final of an FA Cup match at Tottenham ground White Hart Lane. Doctors said the 24-year-old was technically dead for 78 minutes.

Hurricane Sandy hasn't hit yet but it unleashes Flood and Snow

 Millions of people along the East Coast were this evening bracing themselves for the arrival of Hurricane Sandy as authorities issued stark warnings to those who failed to heed evacuation orders.

The storm, which is now more than 1,000 miles wide, began accelerating as it barrelled toward Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York, where the Hudson River breached early on Today (Monday). North Carolina (centre) to Connecticut have declared states of emergency as rain, flooding and in Virginia's case (right) snow, threatens to cut power.

Church Bomb Blast in Kaduna - Survivors Side of the story

A suicide bomber drove into the Catholic church on Sunday yesterday while worshippers were praying and recieving Holy Communion and the blast killed Eight of the worshippers and injured many.  The bomber used a Honda SUV, with Kaduna State number plate AE979ZKW.

The bombing happened at the St. Ritas Catholic Church, Ungwan Yero, Malali, Kaduna State, also left 100 people injured. However, seven persons were reportedly killed in the reprisals that followed the blast.

12 -year -old Student Whipped to death by Teacher

A 12-year-old student of a secondary school in Awka, Anambra State, Miss Chidimma Ukachukwu, has died after she was allegedly flogged by her teacher for failing to do her homework.

A reliable source in the school told the News Agency of Nigeria in Awka on Tuesday that the girl died on Thursday last week after she was flogged. The source explained that the girl fainted after being flogged severally by a female teacher and was subsequently rushed to an undisclosed hospital, where she died.

Wizkid to Perform Alonside Trey Songs at BBC Radio 1Xtra Live Concert

 

Nigerian EME starboy, Wizkid, has just been selected to perform alongside top international acts, at the BBC 1xtra Live concert in November.

Following the announcement by the BBC last night, it has now been confirmed that Wiz will join the likes of Trey Songs and Kendrick Lamar to perform at the BBC 1xtra live concert on November 12, 2012 at Brixton Academy in London.

This big feat comes on the heels of his announcement as Artiste of the year, and best new artiste, at Nigeria’s biggest music awards The Headies.

Auditor General of the FCT Wife and Kids Kidnapped

 

 

The Auditor General of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), his wife and children were yesterday allegedly kidnapped in the nation’s capital.

 

The incident occurred in the evening when the auditor was with his family.

Although details of the incident were skethy as at press time, the FCT police command said they were not aware of the incident.

 

FCT police spokesperson, Doris England, who spoke with our reporter on phone, said the command was not aware of the development. She however assured that she would make the necessary contact to confirm the allegation.

 

England later called back to say that there was no such report brought the FCT command. “If it happened, nobody has reported it yet,” she said.

Nigerian Navy Arrests 15 Russian Sailors over Arms Smuggling

The Nigerian authorities seized a ship and arrested 15 of its Russian crew members on suspicion of arms smuggling, they found several guns and about 8,500 rounds of ammunition on the boat, the Navy said.

The vessel which belonged to the Moran group of Moscow flying a Dutch flag, was intercepted over the weekend in Lagos and was carrying 8,598 ammunitions and different rifles, 22 Benelli MR1 rifles and several other automatic weapons were found.

For those of us that are watching the X-factor, will probably remember this young lad, David Correy who during his first audition, revealed that he is singing for his birth mother that put him up for adoption 25yrs ago and he hoped the show would reunite him with her.

David even tweeted: 'Singin' my heart out everyday until my birth mother hears my voice & we re-unite.'

Well Good news is that David has found his birth mother after she saw baby pictures of him on the show and recognised him as the son she put up for adoption those many years ago.

Ryan Seacrest Claims Kanye West will Propose To Kim

The Keeping up with the Kardashians Producer Ryan Seacrest has revealed that Kanye West is planning to propose to his girlfriend Kim Kardashian on her birthday which happens to be today.

He revealed this as he chatted about a news story, saying Kanye was 'desperate to propose to Kim', on his breakfast radio show.

Rapper M.I tweets to save a life

During the early hours of Saturday, October 13, 2012, Chocolate City rapper, M.I came across a gruesome accident along Ikorodu road, Lagos, involving four people, and called for help via the social media twitter. The rapper was on his way back from Club Octopus, the venue of the Hennessy Artistry event, where he performed alongside Naeto C.

The rapper tweeted, "I'm presently at the scene of a serious accident…We have been here for almost an hour.. And no rescue service!!! Any one that can help. Opposite Obanikoro estate on Ikorodu road. One passenger looks like they are still alive and can make it.. But we need towing trucks and jaws of life to save him… Pls help. At least 3 girls dead, the driver still alive'.

Suspects of the Aluu4 Murder

The Rivers State Police Command today paraded these people as those behind the killing of the 4 Uniport boys.

 

Some of these suspects owned up to participating in the mob action, others said they were randomly picked up by the police. The State Commissioner of Police said investigation is still going on and the suspects will be charged to court soon.
