Former Nigerian Controller General of Prisons Shot while leaving Mosque

 
The Former Controller General of the Nigerian prison service, Ibrahim Jarma Katagum was attacked by gunmen near his residence. In Azare, Bauchi State.
The attempted assassination took place late Monday as he returned from evening prayers at a Mosque close to his residence.

Mr. Katagum was shot in the leg and survived the attack. He is now receiving treatment in an undisclosed clinic.
