Banks to stop the N100 charges for Inter-Bank ATM withdrawals

The Bankers Committee said yesterday that people who use ATMs will no longer have to pay N100 on withdrawals whenever they use other banks ATMs. The MD of First Bank, Bisi Onsanya told journalists that the decision was in line with 'popular trends' in other parts of the world.

“Presently when you use the ATM of a bank other than your bank, there is a charge of N100 which is borne by the account holder. We have decided that we will work out the modality and ensure that with immediate effect we would pass on this cost to the respective banks which bear the cost of providing services. No matter where you are withdrawing your money from, you will not be subjected to any charge for using the ATM. But for transaction on what we call “not on us”, when you are an FBN customer and you use the ATM of a GTB bank, it is free and it will no longer bear any cost.’’

The free inter-bank ATM regime will be made  effective immediately after banks agree on the modalities for the implementation of the new decision.

The winner of the MTN Ultimate Wonder has emerged and the lucky Nigerian is Miss Ebube Essien-Garricks, a 27 year old UniPort student.

Another one bites the dust, in this case its the unpaid tax dust. Hip-Hop producer Swiss Beatz real name Kasseem David Dean owes the U.S. government more than $2.7m in unpaid taxes.According to reports, tax liens totaling $2.6million has been filed against him by the federal government in the U.S.
New York has filed a further tax lien for $98,246.18 in unpaid taxes from 2010.

Katie and Arin were both born as the opposite sex. Katie, who is now 18, spent the first 15 years of her life as Luke, son of a Marine colonel, while Arin, 16, was born a girl called Emerald who was brilliant at ballet dancing and won beauty contests.  Both struggled with their sexuality all through their childhoods and were teased and bullied

The couple met at a trans support group in Tulsa, Oklahoma and took a liking to each other and the rest is history.

Katie said: 'All I saw was a handsome guy. We're perfect for each other because we both had the same troubles growing up.
'We're both size five, so we even swap our old clothes our mum's bought us but we hated.
'We look so convincing as a boy and a girl, nobody even notices now. We secretly feel so good about it because it's the way we've always wanted to be seen.'
